The CBSE delivers Class 10 board exam results to schools

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday said it has passed the performance results of the Class 10 Term-1 board exam to schools, even as many school officials claimed that they are still awaiting the results of the internal marks to arrive at the final Term-1 score.

“The board is informing schools only about the theory performance of their students of Class 10 in a collective manner. Hence, the performance of individual students will not be available on the website,” said Sanyam Bhardwaj, CBSE examination controller, in a circular issued on Friday.

A circular issued by the CBSE added that only the theory performance had been communicated since schools already had information about the practical/internal assessment.

Many schools, however, are yet to share the result. BK Sharma, principal of the Shaheed Hemu Kalani Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya in Lajpat Nagar, said the results will not be shared with students.

“There was confusion among the students till Saturday morning because they were hoping to check the results individually. The final results will be shared with students after the Term II exam,” said Sharma.

Awadhesh Kumar Jha, principal, Sarvodaya Co-ed Vidyalaya, Rohini, Sector 8, said the school was planning to hold a small orientation session before sharing the result on Monday. “We do not want children to panic during the weekend since they have a pre-board exam on Monday. We will tell them about the result on Monday along with subject teachers and discuss the performance,” said Jha.
